My Update - no D&C
Hello ladies,
Thank God for little miracles. There has been progress with my ultrasound. Last Friday the gestational sac looked empty and measured 5 weeks 3 days. Today, they found a fetal pole measuring 6 weeks 2 days. No heartbeat detected. I'm supposed to be 7 weeks tomorrow but both the technician and RE believe I implanted late. My RE spoke of "cautious optimism". I'm to go back for another scan next Wednesday. I am PRAYING for a heartbeat.
You've all been so kind and supportive and I just wanted to share my update with you. To say this has been an emotionally draining week is an understatement. And I know it's ongoing until Wednesday and I may have to face it again. I had convinced myself that I had another blighted ovum but now that I see my baby, I am praying. I am NOT giving up on him.

oh what a relief. I'm so glad to hear that there was progress and so far things are looking positive. Hang in there and I can't wait to see the results on Wednesday. We'll keep you and your little one in our prayers.

It has to be a boy...he's being stubborn and not showing mommy or doctor all the stuff he needs to be showing you.
I know you are anxious to hear the heartbeat. Once the heartbeat is heard, it's the most reassuring sign of the whole pregnancy. As Rachel said, let's say positive. Like she said, the fact that your baby bean has shown advancement is a good sign.
Hang in there little mommy...God knows, we all understand how hard it is to wait to see your precious baby growing that suddenly presents you with his little heartbeat, to know that all is well.
