2nd trimester Pelvic Pressure

Hi I'm 35 and this is my first baby. I'm 19wks and 5 days. Yesterday I felt some pressure in my pelvis while sitting at work. I got home and laid down and it went away. It happened again tonight after sitting for awhile. Could the way or what I'm sitting on be causing this? I'm just a bit scared.

I started getting that in my second trimester too.
In my first pregnancy I strained my uterus. The doctor gave me a slip to get a special belt. So far as I know insurance no longer covers it. Anyway, I have used that belt to help support the underneath of my stomach for all 3 pregnancies now. It's a lifesaver!
Mine goes under the stomach, where you would put your seatbelt. Wraps around for back support and also has a strap that goes over the belly.
It's Velcro, so you may find it itch or irritating. I wear it over a tank top.
I know it sounds like a P.I.A. but it helps with that pressure that makes it hurt to walk, stand or cough/sneeze.
You can get one on Amazon or Ebay. Maternity support.
Hope this helps.

And it could be your baby is sitting low. I know the doctor told me that this baby is sitting lower than my first which is part of the reason for some of my pains and aches. (Sorry for the double comment. I forgot to put that in my first.)

It sounds to me like round ligament pain. I usually get it really bad if I've been walking around too long. I called my doctor because it got so painful that I could barely move. I described it like a rock grinding on my pelvic bone. I was told to take Tylenol and use a heating pad which helps. Your body goes through alot of changes and stretches while pregnant. I never had these pains with my first but tons of pain with this second one. If anything just give your doctor a call tomorrow. :)
