34 wks and mucous plug

I am 43 and this us my 3rd pregnancy (although the last one was about 16 years ago). My mucous plug is beginning to come out (found jelly like substance on toilet paper last bathroom break). I can't remember how much longer it takes after that happens that you go into labor.

I lost mine on Tuesday. I was checked Monday and had no thinning or dilation. I've heard it can take weeks and also that the plug can regenerate.

On the other hand it can take weeks after you lose your plug for anything to happen and in some cases the plug can rebuild itself. Still best to let the doctor know.

^^^Agreed. When I lost my mucous plug with my 2nd, my water broke & labor began in less than 2 hours.
