You are light years ahead of some ppl who don't realize that their choices don't affect just themselves anymore. You are on the path to being a great mommy!

its all good, yes it does come as abit of a shock to realise that you cant just think about yourself anymore, I think for everyone, some it takes longer for that realisation and sadly some never come to it, hence the child neglect etc, but it is well worth giving up some stuff for the love you will feel for your baby, and the total unconditional love that your baby will give you, it cant compare to anything else, this is a wonderful place to come and ask questions, so dont be afraid to ask more and most people will gladly help and give you there point of view and you can take from it what you need :)

well you should give yourself a pat on the back as yes another 6 or so months wont make so much difference in your life but it will give your bub the best start to his new life that he could possibly ask for, an excellent choice :), its also quite dangerous to look after a new baby while under the influence of alcohol etc as well as just as like driving a car your judgement is imapried, something else to think about as well :)

Oh ok I got u and yes all of that make perfect since cuz I never thought about the time it wuld take jus 2 get that little of milk so its definately not worth all that hassle so if I let drinkin and smoking go for a full pregnancy I can do it for 6 more months or longer wats best 4 him is most important and im not willing 2 put him in danger 4 sumthin I can prevent. Thank u so much for bringing all those points 2 my attention, I really really appreciate that. Thanx ladies.. :)

also with all the irregular feeding/pumping your milk supply will probably go down and it will be hard to sustain enough for feeds after a while

I might ad that its better if you can abstain altogether because as I said most of the info out is approximate. Good luck.

No problem.  Alcohol is different.  If u r going to drink pump enough to feed for awhile.  For most people it takes approx 1.5 hrs for 1 8 oz drink to get out if your system.  So for 2, 8 oz drinks that's 3 hours approximately.  Also keep in mind pump and dump will not work for alcohol because its in your bloodstream so until the alcohol is completely out of your system it will stay in the milk.  Please note that the time limits are only approximations.  I hope all that makes since.  Good luck to u.

Anything you take in passes though your milk and gives it to ur baby.  It is not known how long thc stays in the milk so pumping may or may not work.  Either way its not worth the risk.  If you are going to take anything in harmful to your baby u should not breastfeed and switch to formula.  Good luck.
