Did any of you take a break?

Have any of you taken a break?  We all know how stressful it is to TTC and everymonth AF shows up.  Well, I am throwing in the towel!  I can't take it anymore.  I had two positive HPTs last week, but used two different tests (none of which were first response).  One was generic, and the other was EPT,and expensive. both came out positive.  Unfortunately, AF showed up yesterday and this time with a lot of pain on my right side, at CD20!  I feel like I just had my period not too long ago.  My periods were every 28 days BEFORE my D&C.  Then every 24 days and 8 days long after my miscarriage.  NOW, i got it at day 20!  What a dissappointment.  Im tired and giving up for now.  I can't take it anymore.  I think this whole TTC is stressing me out and is causing AF to come now even sooner!  No more OPKs or HPTs for a while.  Im taking a break!  Im going to continue visiting to check in with you ladies, but Im not going to use the trackers or buy any OPKs or HPTs for a while.  When my periods decide to go back to somewhat a normal schedule, and when Im less stressed, I'll continue again.  Thanks for all of your help!  I am so happy that I am on this community.  You ladies helped me out a great deal!  Thank you.

I never really took a break, and I always used my digital monitor to track ovulations because I think it's much better than BDing randomly.

But I did gave up hope mentally. And I was not using early pregnancy tests anymore (rarely used them anyway and one time I was really pregnant but my test at 12 days was negative) - I was using them when I really knew I was pregnant because it had been 17 days after my ovulation.

Good luck! I think it's really important to be relax to conceive and whatever way you find to relax will ultimately help you.

I just wanted to say... Please don't go far. You have been a support to me and others here. I too am thinking about a break although my clock is ticking ... Been at this for 2 years and have taken a couple of breaks... It rights my attitude as I call it...

It is really hard to do everything that is recommended, but not get stressed or worried or frustrated... I have found that I need to just take some deep breaths and change my attitude and approach... Find the joy in the trying... Begin acting and feeling as if... Our body is in our mind and stress and worry causes all kind of things to happen...

Take care, have a good break and find the joy!!!

Oh yes, I have taken breaks in the past.  I do understand completely how you feel.  It's sort of ironic, because after my last loss I just said to heck with it....I didn't do an OPK or anything, and boom, got pregnant with my son.  There isn't much question that stress wrecks havoc on our bodies...but how do you not?  I hope you hang around here anyway, although I understand needing a bit of time.  I wish all the best for you, and hang in there...things have an amazing way of working themselves out.  (((Hugs))) to you.  Amanda

I dont blame you.  I am only 6 months into TTC and it is quite stressful.  The doctors recommend you chart this and chart that, take your temp, watch what you eat, take these vitamins, take these tests...UGH! If that's not stressful enough, I've been waiting for AF to return after coming off depo. So I have been doing all those things, it feels like for nothing! AF has finally come to say hello this month but its been about 2 weeks now and she still hasnt checked out. I'm glad she's back in action because after a few cycles I will finally be able to chart things better and get in the swing of things. For now though I have taken a break too. Hang in there! Maybe taking your mind off the stress of TTC for a while will bless you with a surprise! Good luck!
