Yes, well it all started with the whole if it happens then great, if not then I won't be disappointed because I have two lovely boys already kind of thing. But then my cycles got really wacky and my husband is away a lot so I started tracking just to monitor things really. I got the cheap ovulation test strips and they work great at detecting my surge but it really is all over the place and some months I have has two surges!
I typically get AF 12 dpo. I have short cycles. This can definately be thyroid related...if you have a thyroid issue. I try to keep my TSH levels between 1-2. I get my bloodwork levels every 3 months, especially with TTC, but its always good to keep checking as I get older! My short cycles are definately thyroid related and I am now scheduled to see an Endocrinologist/Fertility specialist in two weeks!
I hope you can start getting some regularity soon. Are you ttc??? Thats always makes it harder:(
I have been thinking the same thing, my cycles have been all over the place. last one was 24 days, one before that was 27 but the one before that was 39 and I have even had some over 40 days in the last year! Right now I am on CD 29, I have no idea when I ovulated, I kept getting faint positives on my OPK's but no real surge, then I ran out of the things! It is frustrating for sure!!
looks like 12 dpo for me. AF started today on CD19!!! I have to call my doctor and find out what he wants to do about my hormone level check. I didnt even make it to CD21:( Maybe it is premenopause:(
since Sept 2010. Thats why im have my hormon levels checked. My thyroids too. Premenopause runs in my family so it wouldnt surprise me:(
I had that happen to me last cycle. AF came CD 22. I was worried about the start of perimenopause, but everyone tells me this happens to all of us every now and then. I wouldn't worry to much. How long has it been seen you got your mirena out? Maybe your body is still adjusting.
haha thanks Amanda:) If DH were on board and we werent always stuggling financaly I would love more kids:)
so wow I should get AF by CD21?? thats crazy! Oh shoot!! Im having my hormone levels check on CD21, do you ladies think it would effect my results if AF is here by then??
14 dpo is the average for most. So yes, early o can mean early af. I still think it's too bad your not ttc anymore..you make such pretty babies..lol.
thanks ladies and mjmom69 AF better come , lol. Im not ttc or having anymore kids, I just like to know my body:)
Yes, I notice AF shows up for me around 14-16 days past ovulation. Sometimes I ovulate earlier therefore my AF comes earlier. The things us women go thru huh...
Yes, you should add 2 weeks after your O day and that will give you the day to expect AF. Hopefully it wont show! Good luck!
