False Positive?

A/F was supposed to start on saturday May 22. Since I'm extremely regular I took a home pregnancy test that night and it came out positive. I used ClearBlue Digital Test. Aparently that positive was a false positive or I had a chemical pregnancy, bcs, I took another test on monday and it came back negative. I went to the doctor and he order a blood test, he did a sonogram, but as he expected he couldnt see anything, although he said everything looks great.

Went to the lab and took the blood test, but the lab technician said that the line is supposed to come up within the first 5 mins, but in my case a faint line came after 10mins, so technically I'm not pregnant, she asked me to come again on wednesday bcs by then the levels are supposed to be higher.

Today I woke up and I'm spotting light pink (sorry if tmi) but not enough to stain but it feels as if it was my period, bcs they are very light. If it is it came 4 days late which is unusual for me. I took another test today and it also came back "not pregnant"

So I'm a little scared that is actually a chemical pregnancy or a m/c or just normal bleeding. Has anybody gone through this?

I think yo ucould try again right away as long as you didnt have any previous miscarriages. I had had 2 now. The first requiring a D&C and the 2nd a chemical. They told me to wait 2 more cycles to start trying again. If this is your first one I would go for it!!! Good luck to you =)

You shouldn't have any issues in trying to conceive again. It was so early and you did not have to have a D&C. So if you feel emotionally ready, go for it. Wish you the best!

I sounds like a chemical pregnancy, which is still a miscarriage, although it is called that because it is too early for a heartbeat to be detected. Sorry about this.

I took a preg test on 05/04/2010 that was faint positive. I took 2 more tests over the next couple of days, all positive. Then on 05/09 I took a digital and it came out Not Pregnant. I panicked. The next morning I did another digital and it was pregnant. The next day I started bleeding. It was a chemical pregnancy. My hcg level when i went to the Dr was already down to 4. Its crazy how fast it can drop. It had to have been high enough the previous day to ready on a preg test. Its a werid situation. Good luck to you.

I actually went through they same thing but a little different. I was supposed to start my period on May 20 so I decided to take a hpt on the monday b4, it turned out positive so I went to my doctors to confirm it, but the blood test turned out neg. The next day I started having severe cramps so they had me come in. They did a ultrasound and found a mass in my right tubes . The tech wrote on his report that it looks like a ectopic but the blood tests were ng. I started to bleed but only very little. I never did have my reg period. I don't understand sometimes but we waited a few days and then did another ultrasound and guess what the mass was gone. So your body is different and different things happen.
