High fsh

Hi.i am new to this site and this is my first posting. Am really depressed and am looking for inspiration. My husband and i have been trying for a baby for 2and a half years. A while after trying i found out i had Endemetriosis. I had a Laparoscopy and a while later had a operation to do some lazor treatment. During all this i was given 6months of injections which made my body think i was going through the early menopause. Doctors said this would help the endemetriosis. We carried on trying ourselves eith no luck and my referred to a fertility clinic.
We ve had to Iui s with no luck and was due to start ivf new years eve. I went for my day 3 blood tests and recieved a phone call sayiny tratment was cancelled as my fsh was 18!  Have since seen the consultant and have paid to have the AMH test but have been too scared to get the results incase they come back bad too. Am in such a state at the moment and can t get it out of my head. All as see around me are pregnant ladies and babies. Has anyone got pregnant naturally with this high a fsh result.

There are a quite a few women on MedHelp who have gotten pregnant with high FSH. If you do a search there are comments going back to 2007 about it and women who have been succussful. I have a FSH of 15 and have just started Acupuncture, yoga and wheatgrass. I did 2 rounds of Clomid which didn't work. I'm not giving up. I did get pregnant last March naturally which ended in miscarriage so I know I can do it. I just need a healthier egg. The book "Inconceivable" is also a very good story of a woman conceiving with a high FSH. It is possible. I wonder if the injections you took would make your FSH falsly high?
Good luck to you.

I'm 43 and had a FSH level of 93 in September last year.  They told me I couldn't conceive.
Anyway I found out on Monday, to my complete shock, I am pregnant.  That is without any 'help', ie we weren't trying at all.
I told them that they must have misread the FSH results!
But no, the results were correct.  Good luck with your endeavours.
Hope this helps!

My FSH was 16 when I conceived my son.  He is now a healthy 2 year old.  I was 41 at delivery with him and had 5 miscarriages prior to having him.  Follow your dream and never give up.

Hi there.  Sorry your having such a hard time...I wish I understood why it's so difficult for some of us.

Yes, there are women who conceive naturally with high FSH.   Odds can be against you, but many have been successful.  Honestly, if this were me, I would be discussing all options with my RE.  We live in a time where just about anyone can have a baby.  It totally depends on how far you are willing to go.  For example, IVF, or IVF with donor eggs in a case such as yours.  I know its not naturally conceived, but it is one choice.  As far as I know injections won't cause high FSH, but that might be a good question for your RE.

I know how hard this is.  It took me a few years and a lot of heartache to have my first child...but at the end of the day it was worth it, and i would do it all again.

I wish you success!!
