I am using a donor. I had one fresh cycle last month that failed and I will be having a FET next month. I had mixed feelings about it but I am 40 and I knew that this was the only way for me. I wasted a lot of time and money trying to use my own eggs and in the end I now see that this should have been my first choice. Good luck if you decide to go that route. To me the end result is the same, a bundle of joy :)
There will be alot of information about this on the Fertility Forum. I know that there are a number of posters on that who use the donor egg option.
Good luck!
Anniebrooks over on Materal and Child I THINK used a donor.... you might look her up... (I am pretty sure she used a donor), but like waiting said, there are a lot of people on here who have, and the fertility forum is the best place to find them...
Good luck!
I used an ED. I am 43 years old and had trouble conceiving after having 5 miscarriages. I had mixed feeilngs too, but they've gone away. Right now I have a beautiful 6wk old baby girl and i have absolutely no regrets. You can PM me if you like. Be patient..it may take me a while to get back with you. Also 40sMama had a baby via ED.
I also had a baby using a donor egg. She just turned 1 and she is such a joy. My husband and I have no regrets and we could not possibly love her any more than we do. I have 2 biological boys and she seems just the same. you can also PM me.
After several miscarriages I wanted to do donor eggs and would have had it been an easier option in Canada. I think it's a wonderful option and know that a few ladies here have been successful with them. Good luck to you.
I am in the process of considering donor eggs. Has anyone gone through IVF with donor eggs in Massachusetts? I wanted to find out the out of pocket cost in MA with our insurance BCBS. Despite calling BCBS a few times, I have still yet to get a straight answer on what is and is not covered by them - especially if you go through and agency.
Hi, I live in MA and carry BCBS. I am pregnant with my own eggs but as plan b I checked into donor options and I was told that they will cover the meds and transfer but not donor costs. It all depends on the extent of coverage your insurance carries. Just happy that here in MA we have IVF covered.
I had egg donor transfer 2 months ago was unsuccessful but been doing ovulation tests since and have not ovulated for 2 months is this normal
