baby's heart beat

I saw my OB/GYN yesterday.  I am 9 weeks and 4 days.  She couldn't locste the heart beat. She said the baby might be hiding behind my pelvic bone which is not uncommon at this many weeks.  I have an ultrasound sceduled for March 5th.  The Dr. Is almost posotive that the U/S will show baby and heartbeat.  Has anyone else had ac problem likecthis?

My OB said at 9 weeks its to early to hear the heartbeat. They say at 12 weeks you should be able to hear it. Try not to worry, its pretty normal to not hear the heartbeat at 9 weeks.

They found my baby heartbeat each time luckily but they did tell me that they prefer not to try and locate it before 20+ weeks as its difficult, mums then get scared and want emergency scans or basically worry themselves ill.

Try not to fret x x

My Dr still couldn't find the heartbeat at 15 weeks and scared the crap out of us. They sent me in for an ultrasound that day and there baby was fine as could be.

Hi, was 9 wks 5d and he couldn't find the heartbeat w/ the doppler.  Scared me alot but we went in another room and looked for it w/ the older ultrasound he has and we could see it then.  Sorry that you have to wait so long for them to verify it w/ an ultrasound!

I was 10 weeks, couldn't hear the heartbeat and got very worried.  Doctors kept saying it's normal.

I finally had my first u/s today at 12 weeks (mind you I couldn't sleep from he excitement and anxiousness). And the heart beat was there :) I heard it. The most beautiful thing ever.

All the best :)
