hi there:
i had very similar situation to urs...i had a yeast infection..it was severe ,went to my doc. he gave me anti-fungul pill..used it...after couple of weeks later i've found out that i was 3 months prego..which means i was already 2 weeks preg. when i had the yeast inf which no body knew about it....
i've asked my OB and the genetic counsellor and they said antifungul pill wouldn't do any damage.....
but unfortunatelly i had so many other complications and i had to go tru D&C to remove the baby.....
u can have some tests done to see if ur baby is fine...ask ur OB..good luck...
Please keep your baby, DO NOT do anything in HASTE!! You more than likely did absolutely NO HARM!! You are still so very early in your pregnancy to be cause for alarm. Just speak with your OB for an alternate med for your infection. You'll be ok.
Check out this website for drugs/meds that are safe during pregnancy:

I agree with Pamela. PLEASE don't make any decision before talking to your OB first. A lot of women take medication before they found out they were pregnant and the baby was just FINE. Speak to your doctor about the risks, but I am sure everything is fine with the baby.
Do you happen to know what class of antibiotics that drug is in? There is a new study just published by the CDC that looked at two specific classes of antibiotics and pregnancy: sulfanamides ("sulfa drugs") and nitrofurantoins.
Please keep in mind that even where certain antibiotics have been linked to negative effects on the fetus, it isn't a given. It just means that certain drugs pose a higher risk-- it doesn't mean that if you took them your baby will for sure have problems. The overwhelming odds would still be that your baby is just fine. :)
