violent vomiting

Good day,
I have am 29 weeks pregnant.  During my first trimester I had very few pregnancy symptoms.  At 12 weeks I started experiencing severe headaches, nausea, vomiting, shortness of breath and rapid pulse rate (100-110).  Having a history of migraines, my doctors ordered an MRI and ruled out anything serious.
By 20 weeks the headaches subsided and only came while I was vomiting and lasted for a short time (1/2 hour to an hour). But the nausea and vomiting has increased.  Generally I go several days in a row vomiting violently.  Occasionally I have a day that I do not vomit.  For about 12 weeks I have noticed I have been constipated.  Bowel movements are rare and very small.  I have attributed that to high iron prenatal vitamins, pregnancy and lack of meals.
I was overweight when I became pregnant, and have gained 16 pounds since the beginning of my pregnancy, so I have not worried that I am wasting away.
But I am beginning to think my small intestines were blocked.  I had my first real bowel movement yesterday, now I am experiencing diarrhea but have not vomited for 48 hours.  Is it possible I had obstruction that has cleared on its own?  I stopped taking the prenatal vitamins about 10 days ago.  Could the iron have been causing my intestines to move too slowly and now that has passed?
I almost feel stupid asking my doctors, as we have been discussing my symptoms for quite awhile now and have tried compazine and zofran for the nausea.  Neither had any effect. I feel as if the problem may have passed, so if the symptoms go away I do not have to become pushy with my doctors.  I could just be a hypochondriac or a hyper-complainer.
Any insight you have would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I agree with adgal.  Your Ob or someone in his office should be there toa nswer your questions.  My first 18 weeks, was awful.  I lost a lot of weight and ended up weighing only 93 lbs.  I could not swallow anything especially large prenatal vits.  My Ob was very concerned and told me to just take Folic acid.  He was happy to see me just keep the food in. He also took me off of Zofran - did not work at all and put me on Ondansetron which did help me.  You may want to ask your Ob's office.  it's a chewable and immedeatly enters your blood stream.  A friend recommended drinking tender coconut water.  these are usually available at Asian grocery stores.  I buy mine form the local Indian store.  It is a whitish hard thing, nothing like a regular coconut.  Hard to describe.  Its very good for you and contains a lot of electrolytes usually recommended for runners.  trying googling tender coconut water.  DH hacks the coconut with a cleaver every morning.  In addition to that I started taking Slow Fe for Iron which enters your blood stream slowly and does not cause constipation.  Of course this is what I did and worked for me, I would suggest you speak to your Ob first.  Good luck

Please do not feel silly talking to your Dr.s'  I am not a medical professional and would not even attempt to give you advice on this.  I really really urge you to see your Dr.  Remember they work for you and it's so important to discuss any and all issues with them, particularly when pregnant.  Trust me, they don't mind.  I hope you feel better soon.

Constipation is common in pg but I would contact your doc. You may have a stomach issue or virus that needs attention. I wouldn't recommend going off of your vitamins because they are so good for the baby. Have you tried colace stool softners?
I would just coall your doc and put your mind at ease. They may want to see you, especially to check for dehydration.
