waiting between 2nd beta and ultrasound

I'm 44 yrs old and we just did our 3rd donor egg transfer 6/5/11. On 6/14 my 1st beta hcg was 136 and on 6/16 it was 394, which my dr. was very happy about (my first two transfers were 2 and 3 yrs ago and the initial hcg was alot lower). He then scheduled my first ultrasound for 7/6/11, just under 3 weeks since my 2nd beta test. The wait is unbearable! I'd really like another blood test to reassure myself that my hcg is still rising, but I don't want to tell my dr what he knows best. Does anyone have any good waiting tips? Should I insist on another blood test? Thanks in advance!

Congratulations on your BFP!

I completely understand wanting to KNOW thing are still okay. I am 19 weeks today and very thankful I have been feeling baby move for the past 3 weeks. Feeling her move is very reassuring...it lets me know she is there and all is well. Before I was able to feel her, I have to admit I had some anxiety at times.

The requests for blood tests are pretty normal.  I'm sure they will understand!!  Just ask for your peace of mind - it's your body and your baby!!  Congrats!!!  H&H 9 months!!!!!!
