I wouldn't worry to much. I did that state genetic test my last pregnancy at 38 and we tested positive. They are known for giving many false positives. I was so worried my whole pregnancy even after baby was born.I found myself looking for signs and symptoms that weren't there.Try to relax and not worry yourself to much. This is suppose to be a fun, happy experience. This is what my Dr told me. If you knew for sure that the baby would have Down syndrome, would you terminate the pregnancy? the answer was No. He said, so stop worrying and enjoy this time. Try and do the same. I'm 41, pregnant with my 6th baby and I'm not going to do the test or allow people's opinions or comments ruin this time for me. :)

I'm 36, I just did the genetics blood work screening and it put my mind at ease. Maybe you could do that screening also :)

42 here! First baby, IVF, and all good. Downs results back from blood test at 1:1000. No amnio for us so stay positive and happy and do whatever keeps you happy and relaxed.

I just had a baby at 39 and turning 41 next week and 7 weeks pregnant again. The last time I was so excited this time I'm scared to death. I know it'll be fine I just still tend to worry.

Thanks, everyone! My Dr. just got back to me and said that I shouldn't worry about progesterone as I'm not an IVF pregnancy. I feel better now :-)

Try not to worry. Everything will be okay. Many women are having children later in life now. My mother had 3 kids all after the age 35. Just stay positive :)
