43 pregnant

I went to my first doctors appointment and they did an ultrasound to find out how far I was. The lady doing The ultrasound said she didn't see the baby. I was told It may be an eptopic pregnancy.  They did an hcg, quantitive in the office lab and it was 1500 and and I had to go to hospital repeat hcg, quantitive in 48 hours it was the same 1500. My question is,  Do you you think this was a lab error?

gererally once hcg levels are over 1200 something should be visable on u/s, did they do a vaginal u/s? it can sometimes also depend on the skill of the sonographer and the equipment used, also you should still see a rise in your hcg levels at this stage so for me that would be the worrying part, that it hasnt  risen at all, if they were processed in different labs that can sometimes explain it, but you still should have seen some type of rise

There are so many errors they can make. How far along are you?
