Has anyone bought a fetal heart doppler?

Has anyone bought a fetal heart doppler? If so, would you recommend the one you bought? Does it have an LCD screen? Can you record the heartbeat?

Thanks - I am debating whether or not to get one. I would love to be able to hear the baby's heartbeat - it would give me such peace of mind when I'm feeling a little paranoid and until I can feel the baby kick. Let me know what you think!

I got the angel sounds from amazon too.  I got it when i was 10 weeks.  I didnt realize at 10 weeks, the lil bean was so low on my pelvic bone.  But after alot of practice I was able to find it everytime.  It really makes my day when i hear the heatbeat.  This is my best buy for $40.

I love the Angel Sounds.  I got it around 9 weeks.  I started hearing the heartbeat and all his movements around 10 weeks.  After some practice, it got pretty easy to find his heartbeat. And when I didn't hear the hb, then I was just as excited to hear him moving all around splashing the amniotic fluid around.  I bought my Angel Sounds from Amazon.com.

I am 23 weeks today

I bought one from Ebay for about $150.00 (or somewhere around there).  I love it now, but I can tell you that up until a week or so ago it caused a lot of stress.  I put it away for awhile as I found it tough to use in the beginning.  If you get one, make sure you research the brand and that it is FDA approved.  Good luck to you.

Hi!  I actually bought the Target one for about 20 dollars and it was worthless.  It said that it wouldn't work until the third trimester, but I was like, by that point, what's the point?

I just bought the Hi-Bebe BT-200 one on Craiglist for about $60 and it was the best money I've spent yet!  It has a digital readout to be able to see the hb rate and the woman sold me the gel with it too!  I was able to read the heartbeat yesterday and later, I could hear it too!  I've already done it once today and was able to read/hear it!

I spent a lot of time researching the different ones and the price I wanted to pay. This is the one that I had wanted and was just lucky to find it on Craigslist, so I didn't have to pay $150 for it!  Type in "Fetal Doppler Reviews" into your search engine and it will give you a lot of options to research.

AngelSounds is another one that I heard good things about, but I don't like ordering something like this, online. I wanted to 'feel it' and 'test it' before investing my money!

BTW, I'm 14w3d today ;) Good luck and HTH!

I was in motherhood maternity's outlet store yesterday and they had fetal heartbeat monitors for 25 dollars. The lady told me I could record baby's hearbeat on thos as well. I am not sure what brand they were. Ofcourse, I didnt buy one because knowing myself I would panic if I couldnt detect the heartbeat.

Around 10 weeks I rented the Belly beats digital doppler for about $40 or $45 a month. It worked great! I could find the hb at 10 weeks, but it took me about 5 minutes. It didn't get really easy until closer to 15 weeks. It was great for calming my nerves between appointments.

There are several brands you can rent that all work better than the ones you can buy at Target and babiesrus. Be sure to pay the extra few dollars for the digital as it makes it easier to see what the hb is.

Good luck.

LOL) But is was great to hear the heart beat at home, Not sure what brand I had but it did have a LCD screen and I could record that heart beat, Best wishes Julia
