I have developed purple strech Marks that hurt any effective treatment?

I am 38 wks and 5 days baby is 8 lbs, my lower belly is full of purple strech marks. Skin feels so thin. Dr. tells me I am not dilated and for first pregnancy I will go over my due date, which means baby (Dad is tall) will grow more and I will end up like a Freddy Krueger survivor. How do I help my skin bounce back?

There is nothing you can do about stretch marks. My daughter is a nurse and she says you get them basically from the inside out. If you Google it, most medical sites that are not sponsored by skin cream businesses will also say that there is nothing that gas been proven to help. Retin A can help them fade a bit, but only if you use it right after birth, and only in certain places where the skin is thin AND it's perscription. Skin creams can help with the itchiness though :)

Use coca butter.  Makes them feel better and helps them not to continue to spread.
