Lumpectomy - no period????

Hi , I've had a lumpectomy on my left breast on April 20, 2010. My last period,I started April 9....nothing since. I have done a home pregnancy test but it was negative.  Its now May 16 and still no period.  I don't feel any symptoms of being pregnant at all except i'm really hungry. would having the lumpectomy have maybe messed with my hormones? Just wondering.  My periods have mostly been regular between 26-28 days this one is way way over that. Please any help would be appreciated.

Yes, surgery, stress, illness, all those things can affect your cycles.  If you do not have one by the time it would normally be due next month I would consult with your doctor.

Thanks very much....p.s. its may 24 and still nothing... I'm going to my family doctor on thursday so maybe he can test me through blood work also maybe i'm at the early stages of menopause... it is a very stressful time in my life.. but i guess my body is absorbing most of it.
