I agree with LoveCake.
Very late miscarriages can be prevented - early miscarriages are just not meant to be. It's sad, but if you lose your baby early, in the first trimester, there was nothing you could have done to make that pregnancy "stick", once it started to fail.
On the other hand, if you miscarry this pregnancy you might want to have your projesterone checked before you get pregnant again.
Best wishes that this will be a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby.
I'm sorry for your losses. Go with your instincts re doc. I also believe it just can't be prevented. Don't blame yourself for your 2 losses. I hope you have a healthy term pregnancy. I asked my doc about bedrest for a different condition and she said she doesn't put much stock in bedrest at all. Maybe your doc feels that way too. Good luck mama. I'm sure you're anxious and I hope all goes well.
When I had my daughter I was playing full contact football (not soccer) football and I did not know I was pregnant with her I entered in after a game bc I got heat stroke and I fond out I was pregnant and I was 12 weeks by then . I have since have had a son he's 2. And then 2 miscarriages iam now 9 weeks and son pregnant so if it's going to happen it's going to happen I wish you all the luck bc it is had times
Unfortunately, both your doctor and kiki are correct. I have personally experienced multiple miscarriages. I have done so while working (very labor intensive jobs) and while being at home relaxing during summer break of school. Even an ER can do little to nothing if you are experiencing a miscarriage. Your only recourse is to look for another physician but i doubt you will get an answer much different. Talk to your HR department and ask what type of choices you may have.
I would definitely find another doctor. Trust your instincts if you're feeling there's a link.
If you don't like her response or how she's handling your care change doctors...however she is right you can't stop a miscarriage...
