The topomax dulled the pain and was the only thing that did. My doc never mentioned anything else for it. My current migraine has lasted for 4 weeks now. It's horrible. I'll ask my ob about that med and see what he says. Thank youn
I've suffered for years & was also on daily meds. I take 1 extra strength Tylenol every 6 hours and a cup of coffee in the morning. Although it never worked before I was pregnant it does the trick now.
Congrats & Good Luck
I was taking the same meds as babymommaa20 prior to pregnancy. I got migraines usually a couple times a month. My last pregnancy the last 8 months or so I didn't have ANY migraines. The chiropractor said that was common as adrenaline helps combat the migraines. I haven't taken the meds since I'm still nursing my 1st, and now I'm newly pg with #2 and looking forward to a migraine free run again!! I hope that your experience is similar!
I dont get migraines but I do get headaches bad enough to where it makes my eyes & ears THROB. Tylenol doesnt help any pain I.have & ive tried warm baths to relax & closing my eyes with a cold wash cloth over my face & still nothing. My midwife told me that it could deal with blood pressure but mine has always been fine. And every now & then, ill have a sharp pain go through my head. I dont get it. Its amazing how much pain we can be in & doctors & midwives always say if we have any questions or concerns to let them know but they never do anything & their rude about it.
acetaminophen/codiene and it helped SO much, within 30 minutes the pain and migraine went away and didn't come back. who knew my obgyn would help better than my doctor? Lol. But now since I'm close to delivery he took the codiene out so the baby wouldn't have withdraws. Ask your doc about this medicine, it helps if yours are anything like mine. And as for natural help, I've tried everything natural out there, even putting peanut butter on my forehead for hours. Nothing worked.
