can antibiotics affect menstrual flow?

Hello everyone,
I am new to this forum and I'm sure I will have many questions. I am 41 and have be given antibiotics etc. for a uterine infection which my gynecologist thinks is the reason for my two micarriages and my lighter periods which have been like this for over a year now. Since I have been on medication (for about two months) my periods have been even lighter than before, like a day or two and of course I'm alarmed. This is the first time they have been this short. Before my period got this light I did all my hormone tests and my antral follicle count in February and everything was fine. My doctor said not to worry about this until it repeats itself 3 times, of course that’s hard to do because I keep thinking of menopause and I still don’t have any children. Could this extremely light period be due to all the meds I took before and due to the antibiotics I’m taking now? Has anyone ever had this happen to them?

I am taking a levofloxin 500mg, once a day for a month. It's a quinolone antibiotic which kills bacteria in the intestines and uterus. Thanks

What type of antibiotics are you taking? (name, dose, frequency)

I've never had the use of antibiotics affect my period but I've never been on anything stronger than amoxicillin (except once when I was pregnant and had pneumonia...but menstruation wasn't an issue at the time).
