pregnancy after aortic valve replacement- mechenical prothesis

Dear ladies. Im 37 years old.
Unfortunatelly had to undego sergury last year- aortic valve replacement- mechanical prothesis/
Pls if sb has come across such  a sergery and then being pregnat i will be very greatful if u let me know ur experiences.
My doctors keep assuring me i will not be the first case like this and there were positive outcomes, but still in internet i am reading abt the risks..
pls let me know what to do.. and of course i do want to have a baby..

i am in my 30s & 19 weeks pregnant with my 1st child had a valve replacement in 2008 seeing 3 docs a ob/gyn my cardiologist & a high risk ob/gyn i am doing fine so is my baby all though they have to do an echo of my baby to make sure the heart is okay & other than that all is well good luck best wish find good docs & pray

If your doctor has no problem with you getting pregnant then go for it.

There will always be risks that come with pregnancy even in the healthiest of women.

I'm sure you will be monitored closely and all will go well.
