35-36 weeks cervix softening

Hey Everyone!!
I'm 35-36 weeks pregnant with baby number two and I went to the doctor last week (i'm going every week now) and she checked to see if i was dialated yet and she said i'm not dialated but i'm softening. I know i should know this stuff since it wasn't that long ago with my first but could that mean i'm going to go in anytime soon?

I would say that you need to treat it as if you were trying to get pregnant.  Elevate your hips for about 10 - 20 minutes to allow the sperm to get where they need to be, then use the restroom.

Your cervix can remain soft for weeks before you go into labor or it could soften right before labor - there is no way to know what applies in yous situation.
