in my first pregnancy i worked untill 29 weeks then got put in hospital. at 31weeks had my baby via c section due to severe pre-clampsia my symptoms were swollen face hands legs and feet bp was sky high and 4+ of protien in my urine im currently 29 weeks 3 days and doin much better than last time im hoping to work to 35 weeks
36 weeks pregnant. There is a law in Germany in which maternity leave must start at 36 weeks.
I've only worked full time during two of my pregnancies. With the first I actually left work for my doc appt, found out I had to have a c-section and never went back to work that day. With the other one I worked until 4 days before my due date, ended up being induced on my due date.
Yeah that's true . I have extreme swellinq in both my hands and feet and I don't know if that's a sign of pre-clamspsia. I think it is though. I'm qonna talk to my doc about it.
I worked until the night before I went into labor with my last, that was at 35 weeks. I wasn't planning on take maternity leave until I went into labor regardless. But it all depends on the person. Every situation is different.
I worked til 40 weeks and two days, had my girl at 40 weeks three days. I also had preclampsia that wasn't diagnosed until I went into labor on my own. Not sure how they missed it, I had to wear flip flops with velcro snaps because I couldn't even wear house slippers my feet were too big. I worked an office job so that did help. I think I could of worked up until 39 weeks if I had a lot of running to do. That is only because I was so worried about money and I wanted all the time I could get with my new baby and not just laying around not doing anything. I would reccomend talking to your physician if you feel like you need to take off soon.
I stopped working a week before my son was born with my youngest I was pulled from work right at the 34 wk mark due to high bp and I was induced at 37 and 1/2 wks for her this time I have been on mandatory bedrest since wk 20 even though I was planning on working up until a week before my due date. but the choice is up to u.
I worked until the day my water broke which was 39 weeks. I wanted to take all my time off when the baby got here and not use it up before. But I was not put on any bed rest and overall had an easy pregnancy, but with that said I had very swollen legs which I elevated when i could and wore tent hose to help. Working also helped me to not think about being pregnant and made the time go much faster!!
I worked up until i was 37 weeks. I was planning on taking leave the day of my due date lol, but when i went in for my 37 week check up i had high blood pressure and protein in my urine so i had to be induce that day. It all depends on the person.
I'm currently 28 weeks I still have a way to go but I just feel so swollen at this point . I mean I feel great besides the swollen part and the fact that I get super bad migrane/headaches :( I don't know how far ill make it .
Beccabb' I think I miqht have pre-clampsia as well :( I qet super swollen. I mean I know that beinq swollen is a part of pregnancy but mine is beyond swollen :(
I worked up to the day I gave birth. All three of my pregnancy were induce, so I knew when I was going to have the baby
I stopped at 32 but had pre eclampsia or I'd have gone till I popped lol
I stopped working when I was 38 weeks pregnant. ;) Good luck, it's a very personal decision and very financial decision. Keep in mind that kids are SO EXPENSIVE! If you can work, I would.. But again, it's a personal decision and you should do what is right for you and your family.
