I posted this on my journal and thought it woul dbe fun to what you preggers are eating.....
I am now 30 weeks pregnant and I have been eating so bad that I need to start this food diary so I can make myself aware of the foods that I am putting in my mouth. I have been eating tons of sour gummies....I mean a whole bag in one setting......I do eat other heathly foods but I keep giving in to my cravings. I have been baking a lot as well. I made coconut tarts last week and made a home made pound cake (the kind with 1 pound of butter) the week before.
So here we go...
Decaf Coffee with French Vanilla creamer
1 hard boiled egg
Yoplait light peach yogurt with mini shredded wheat
It's only 9:00 am
I have had
(1.5) bowls of cinnamon toast crunch with whole milk
(1) honey whole wheat bagel with light cream cheese
(1) G2 low calorie electrolyte beverage
(1) liter of water
It's only 9:00am here.
My plan for lunch:
(1) lunchable okay maybe 2 (the ones with crackers, helps with the quesies and I'm still eating)
(1) more liter of water
(1) V8 juice
I don't even want to think about dinner. I had jasmine rice, with some butter, sugar, and cinnamon for dinner last night. Very gently on my tummy. That may be what I eat tonight too. Other than the bagel, not too bad. Did you know a bagel with light cream cheese is still about 550 - 600 calories?
DollChina - You are doing so good today. I don't see any sour gummies anywhere on that list. Yeah!
LauraB78 - Sounds like you have a real fetish for cereal bars. At least they are fortified in vitamins and minerals.
I had 8 chicken flavor crackers for mid-morning snack.
Lunch, tuna salad sandwich, chips, and strawberries and a diet 7up.
I have more strawberries and grapes for snacking later.
Still have half a bag of sour gummy life savers in the draw calling my name.
pmperez, that is so depressing, you have eaten virtuously today. I got in my lunchable, just one. I just saw an internet add for breyers strawberry ice cream. Since it's made with real strawberries that should be good for you right? I feel like a homer simpson commercial, Ah, Ice cream... No pickles needed though. :)
I polished off my extra strawberries and grapes and I am stuffed. I had 8 almonds too. Don't you think I am eating sooooo much? It's only 1:40, the next 2 hours will be critical, that's the time I snack the most......I have one apple on my desk before I will dig into the gummies. At least that's the plan!
Real strawberry ice-cream, yum. I haven't had much ice-cream with this pregnancy.
I am going to make myself some green tea now.

DollChina, I don't think you are eating too much. You are in the trimester where the extra food is most important and you are about to hit the homestretch. Me on the other hand am only about a 1/3 of the way through. I have some pretty bad attacks of food aversions and then there are times when I just have to eat, but still feel quesy afterwords. I can't wait until that goes away. By the way, these last few weeks is when baby puts on all that extra fat so that they can insulate their body.
NIKKO: thought I'd never be normal again. I lost a lot of weight... but soon enough I started gradually wanting more and more to eat. The only thing I still can't handle is ground beef, or anything with BBQ sauce on it. bleh! Everything else is good, which is such a relief because I missed food!! lol.... hang in there, it will pass (easier said than done, I know!)..
DOLLCHINA: Omg, I am so in love w/sour life saver gummies. wow. It's an issue... I can easily eat a whole bag but really try not to because of the sugar. I like mine to be refridgerated. I really want some now!!
As far as my food intake today.... it's 1:15 PM and I've had:
A good sized bowl of Frosted Mini Wheats w/lots of milk
A huge handful of fresh cherries
5 Reisen chocolates (I've been craving chocolate BAD lately)
1 spicy chicken sandwhich from Wendy's, minus the mayo
2 more Reisen chocolates (lol)
And I plan to have a grapefruit this afternoon...and a yogurt. I can't seem to get enough dairy, it's been like that since the first trimester for me. I loooove milk, yogurt, and ice cream. Cooked potato chunks w/broccoli and cheddar cheese sauce is on the menu for tonight... yum!
Chocolate has been my biggest battle, all of a sudden I want it like 24 hours a day. What gives?! I'll usually give in, but I have to pace myself because I don't want to overdo my sugar intake! I was so sick during my first trimester (had hyperemesis and spent the majority of my time in and out of the ER) I'm just so grateful to be eating again!!!
Well, I didn't finish the half a bag of sour Lifesave gummies but I had 10 of them and I am so PROUD of myself!
Babydreams, I have never tried the cold gummies, I am putting mine in the fridge now so I can have them tomorrow. Wow, what a great idea.
Nikko, I know, but I am eating a lot of the bad stuff like the candies. The funny thing is I am so discipline when I am not pregnant. Last time around, I gained about 30 with my son but lost a total of 40 after and maintained it until I got pregger again this time.
Dinner is out of my control since my mom cooks Chinese for me....but it always has loads of veggies so I don't have any issue with dinner.
Ladies, I want to know what you think about this thread. Do you think we should do it on a regular basis? I think it's a great way of keeping track of what we are eating and I feel more responsible to what I put in my mouth since I am telling you guys. Let me know. I also have the diary in my journal.
Today I've eaten : This AM:
A PB&J sandwich
A mountain Dew
1 bottle water
2 chili cheese dogs from the vending machine... ewww.
1 cookie (white choc. macadamia)
1 sandwich (with mustard only.. subway but a slice of a 6 foot long sub.. so not huge)
and a Mango Arizona Tea...
I'll probably fit down something for dinner.
Yea, I eat crappy, but for some reason it's like it doesn't affect my weight (totally opposite of the rest of my life when a cheeseburger would make my butt jiggle!)
1 bowl of rice, string beans, scrambled eggs with chives.
Strawberries and some black currant gummies for evening snack.
Decaf coffee with French Vanilla creamer
Homemade turkey sausage and egg burrito with sprinkle of cheese and salsa ( found that to be the most filling, high protein breakfast that's going to last me all am)
Dinner - (VERY QUEASY) bowl of special K red berries with whole milk
Breakfast - Special K red berries with whole milk
Snack - easy mac triple cheese macaroni (craving mac n cheese) so bad for you at 220 calories and 660 mg of sodium.
On the plus side of things, last night is the first night since I found out I was pregnant that I did not have to get up in the middle of the night to piddle... YEAH!
DollChina - Chinese food sounds really good right now. Some General Tso Chicken or Chicken fried rice. We'll see what happens in the nest three hours before lunch though. Yum! Way to go with the gummies yesterday. This is a great idea to me. Let's start a new thread every week and keep up with what we eat from week to week.
MartikaDragon - I never eat hot dogs but within the last week, I have eaten 4. One of which with chilli and cheese from sonic. Although from a vending machine doesn't sound as appetizing.
Durhamjk1 - I used to go to two different places for dinner when I was preggo with my first child. I absolutely loved the taco bell mexican pizzas and I just had to have the chicken strip dinner from sonic.
BabyDreams - I am so with you on the Reisens. They are my favorite candy, but right now the thought of one just doesn't appeal as much. I figure when the quesies start subsiding they'll sound much better.
I also crave milk and cheese products right now. I remember this with my first as well. I would eat a bowl of cereal with every meal, if I could. Then in the last part of my first pregnancy, I craved raw meat. (Gross, I know). I never ate it raw, but the rarer the better. Weird, huh?
Well, Its 8:05 am here this morning and I have had a slice of watermelon and working on the other half of my 16 oz tub of cottage cheese from yesterday. Not unhealthy at all I dont think. But I am starving so will probably add some pretzels and maybe some parmasian herb baked crackers. Mmmmsounds good!
10:45 here and so far I have eaten:
1 - Trail Mix Granola Bar (yummy)
1 - Glass of Skim Milk
and I am hungry already. I try to eat healthy, but at the same time want to eat filling and high protein things, b/c I will be 18 weeks tomorrow and still haven't gained any weight. My belly is starting to bulge out - but still not gaining pounds. I go to the OB on friday so we will see. I am kind of worried though.
DurhamJK and Nikko~ yea... they weren't too good, but I really DIDN"T want to eat Wendy's AGAIN... (I eat it like 4X a week since I work next to one)
My friend ate them too, and we nuked the h*ll out of them. We jokingly said they have sh*t cheese on em. lol, It's a running joke from when I had a nasty brocoli cheese baked potato with this NASTY nacho cheese stuff on it. I said it was sh*t cheese. :)
Well yesterday I did cook the red beans, sausage and rice but I didnt eat it Im having a problem with my gall bladder so I had cheese eggs and toast, it was pretty good.
honey bunches of oats
some kind of rice pudding from the Dominican Republic
turkey club and fries(Steak and Shake)
tonight Im cooking Pork roast, rice and Cabbage, (I wont be eating the Cabbage)
