Sex isn't one of them. I had unprotected sex daily with DH and still got numerous positive tests. What your doctor means is that a test wont show positive 7 days after unprotected sex because it takes about 2 weeks from conception to show positive on a test. So 14 days not 7. Although some people show as early as like 10 days past ovulation.

It doesn't have any effect.a The only things that could alter a test are things with the hCG hormone in them or diluted urine. Sex isn't one of these.

No it takes 7 days WITHOUT unprotected sex is what I am saying.  I am already 7 days late on my monthly but since I have had unprotected sex with my fiance in the last 7 days I have to wait another week cause she says the test will still be negitive.  I never knew that a test could be false negitive JUST because you had unprotected sex within a 7 day period of taking the HPT
