Is it normal to feel this pain at 35 weeks

This is my second child and this past weekend i've been feeling lots of sharp pains followed by my stomach getting really hard (they feel like cramps) there not sharp but enough to make me stop and think is this labor and i'm not sure if any of  you ladies have felt this before, can it be that the baby is getting bigger.... this morning i had a huge one like if his head was hitting something down there and it was followed by some mild cramping so ladies any advice will help ... is it to early for the doc to check if i'm dialated at all

Good to hear all is well. It won't be too much longer. Another couple of weeks and you will be good to go.

Yes i went to the doctors right now and they checked me and they said my cervix was closed, i'm really happys ince i'm only 35 weeks .... she said that what i'm feeling are strong braxton hicks and i might feel them more since this is my second baby .... thank you ladies for your advice

It sounds like Braxton Hicks Contractions, they are contractions that are getting your body and mind geared up for that big day! I would always time your braxton hicks because they can turn into real contractions. Braxton Hicks contractions aren't supposed to be painful, but whatever *dude* doctor came up with that idea is full of smudge lol. I have had a few that have put me on my knees.

Just keep timing, and usually if you change positions such as from your left side to your right they generally stop. REAL contractions on the other hand will not stop or go away or calm in intensity no matter what. Trust me your instincts will tell you when it is real labor, you will know.

yes i've timed them and on friday i had about 4 within an hour and then during the weekend they were off an on several hours apart but i thought braxton hicks were not suppose to hurt these hurt

If your stomach is getting hard then you are probably having a contraction, possibly a Braxton Hicks.  Have you timed them?
