I'm in Canada so, I don't need insurance... OB's are covered by the government here so, I have to get a referral.. some cities don't require one but, where I live they do..

If you have insurance, you may be able to skip the referral, depending on your insurance's policy on this. I have to have a referral for pretty much every other type of specialist, but for an OB I don't have to. And I understand, hope all goes well for you this week. :)

I'm going to the early pregnancy unit, so I'm going to ask them to get me a referral to an OB.  I'm so nervous and these days seem so long

Yeah!! So glad you and the baby are ok! The docs will keep an eye on everything, but girl, go get an OB! Especially now, maybe at your u/s next week they can recommend some to you...I'm so happy for you! :)

I work in L&D and we only receive patients 20 weeks or greater; however, I have had MANY patients tell me that they experienced this type of bleeding in their early pregnancy. More often than not, it resolves. This happened to my sister in law. Girl, I'm telling you, she literally had blood running down to her feet it was so much. She passed several large clots, also. She was so devastated and we were all sure she was losing the baby, and now her baby is a healthy, bouncing 10 month old baby girl. I pray that your story will have a happy ending as well. Some of the patients I have had that experienced this have told me that their doctors told them to take it easy the whole pregnancy as far as heavy lifting, etc. and then I've had others say their docs wanted them on bedrest and pelvic rest. Then there are some doctors who say just take it easy for a few weeks and resume normal activity. I would just talk to your doc and see what he/she wants you to do as far as activity is concerned. Best wishes and I am looking forward to hearing updates about the pregnancy!

we thought it was my blood type as when I was a teenager I had O neg blood.. however, since then my blood type has changed to O pos.. so, it's not that but, I'm not going to worry about the past right now just going to take care of the now...

Also, my DF is here beside me and he asked me to say hello and thank you to everyone for your support and help

I actually had a subchorionic bleed with my current pregnancy. I was 8weeks or so when the dr found it. I'm not sure of the location though but I do think he said it was close to the placenta. He had me on bed rest til my next ultrasound a week later. At that one it had decreased in size and by 10 weeks it was gone. He was surprised I wasn't bleeding with the size of it but said they are pretty common.

Also what did they think has been causing the miscarriages? Mine was a septum. My uterus never fully came together as one uterus and had a small portion of tissue that and if the baby implanted there it would miscarry around 7-8 weeks.

Yay for still having baby hold on though!! That is great!!

So happy for you.  I know it's still scary but hang in there.  I had a cyst to in early pregnancy.  It's actually a good thing because it's what gives off hormones until about 12 weeks when the baby starts making their own.  They just monitored me in the first trimester to make sure it wasn't growing.  Around 12 weeks it started shrinking and then went away.  Hope the rest of your pregnancy is worry-free and healthy.

Amy It is very important for you to take care of yourself and not do any strenious activitys, i have had the same prob also mine wasnt behing placenta first 1 they found at 9 weeks after being rushed in for emergency ultrasound 1st one measured 9x22x29mm which formed where teh placenta usually forms luckily by 12 weeks it had dropped and placenta grew normally. i was terrified bleed clots i thought i had lost my baby for weeks. even after this then it stopped at 12 weeks i went in for my normal scan everything was fine hematoma was still there  then 13 weeks i got rushed in again for chronic and heavy bleeding this time the found a 2nd one 29x9x22mm and changed it to a perigestional hematoma but my baby was fine i was just bleeding i had been put on bed rest for 6 weeks. im now 18w 4d no bleeding since 14 weeks i have my ultrasound in 5 sleeps so we will see whats happened with them but my baby is happy healthy and kicking around and has nothing wrong. so dont stress to much hun just look after ya self

Yeah the dishes can wait, you can order in pizza and chinese, it doesn't matter if the clothes aren't folded. When I was bleeding my apartment was the messiest it's ever been and I didn't pick up anything heavier than a gallon of milk...just rest, and let your body heal itself.

with those types of hemorages and where its possibly positioned you will need to have alot of rest. do not do anything that you do not need to do, no heav y lifting etc, keep your fluid intake up, yes most heal on their own, but you do want to help it along with rest etc, just incase its near your placents, also they cyst on your left ovary, it will be that ovary that you ovulated from as when you ovulate usually a small cyst forms on the side that you to, so my advice would be to rest as much as possible and take it easy, no rushing around!!
