So I watched the Business of Being Born! Great recommendation, it only makes my decision to have a natural childbirth that much stronger however now I am really regretting passing up the chance to use the services of a midwife! I had the opportunity and they are free here in Canada but my mother and BF really wanted me to stay at the hospital just incase, I really hope I can still have my birth the way I want it. I have a very well laid out birth plan and don't want it changed just cause the doctor says so, of course unless complications arise.
You girls are insane lol! ;)
Clysta- you're not weird! I love birth. I love learning about it, reading about it, watching it. I am what you would call a Birth Junkie. Sounds like you are one, too!
I liked watching the videos actually. (I must be weird or something) I've known since before I got pregnant it would be painful, but my goal is to go as natural as possible. Like Joyrenee said, women have been able to do it since the dawn of time, and this is without everything we have now. I'm excited to be able to do it actually. (I must be really weird. Lmao)
Funny :) That's why I absolutely REFUSE to watch those videos, and they'd better not even touch me without an epidural lol...
I know you dont know me so its pointless to say this, but im going to anyway. If i can do it, you can do it. I have the worst pain tolerance and i had a vaginal delievery. im not gonna lie it was the worst pain in my life. but soo worth it. when they pulled him out and layed him on me, i forgot about everything. its the most amazing thing, you'll do just fine
Watch the Business of Being Born (on letmewatchthis for free) and you'll freak yourself into having a natural birth. ;-) I wish I had my first two without an epidural. I know others find it great but when you really look into what it does you'll try what you can without it.
Seriously, women have been doing it for ages. Our bodies were made to do this. You'll do great!
ugh sorry typo...my son is 6 years old not 2
i watched some too on utube - it is a little crazy. but really i cant wait to go in to labor, i want to meet my little girl and get my body back!
Epidural works wonders. You will do fine
i was freaked out about giving birth when i was preg wtih my son 2 years ago...as you get closer to your due date you will be wishing your baby out....thats how i felt...even though i was terrified about giving birth i was ready to have control of my body back again
surprising my delivery was not that awful...i do recall some terrible pain but as somebody told me you forget about the pain once your baby is here...seriously it was amazing...as soon as he was born the pain was completely gone
now that i know that i will push as hard as possible and do everything to get this baby girl out safely and quickly
im also due in sept and this time im freaked out about delivering a baby while taking blood thinners....i have no clue what to expect and im scared of the blood loss that results from delivery :/
I am pregnant with my first baby too... almost 33 weeks. I am terrified also, but am trying to think of it differently. I have done all of my actual classes with the videos too. I just keep telling myself I am just so excited to meet him I can't wait for labor. It is the only pain you ever experience with a happy ending and something positive coming from it. I can't wait to get this little boy out and have him in my arms. I am sure the nerves will set in again when I go into labor...lol
