Invest in a fetal heart monitor my OB suggested this for my piece of mind and it's totally worth it I bought a sonoline b for $50 on the internet. I'm currently only 12 weeks but have had several bleeds my OB keeps telling me to call her office and speak with the on call. I haven't gone to er yet because she said there is nothing they can do that can't wait until she can see me. But since I've purchased the monitor she asks me for the heart rate when I call. Truly worth every penny.
Hi there. Im working so very hard to rest; although i have a desk job so thats ok. Just phoned maternity unit and they told me to monitor the bleed. Most days i think positive but some days; like today I just feel helpless and pessimistic! I wish it would stop! Seeing consultant again on 22nd October but seriously considering going to my midwife unit and getting them to check baby's heartbeat...AGAIN! x
Can you do without squatting at least for now? At least until you are given an all clear? Sometimes we can't avoid climbing stairs, but if you can keep it at a minimal.
Tugging in your belly could be anything, since it's not a regular occurrence, I don't think you should worry.
Enough rest though, try to get lots and lots of it. xxx
Aghhh! More brown bleeding and stringy bits! No actual red blood since Saturday though. Felt a tug in my stomach yesterday, like baby was pulling in my stomach muscle. Sort of a thud when bending down! What could that be? x
Thanks Ricky, thats helpful. Bleeding stopped and now getting brown/orange discharge again! Not sure what to think. Im keeping my fingers crossed. The think is; I have to squat/climb stairs all the time. Had major back pain yesterday but think it was wind! Sorry to be crude lol x
I had one that disolved about two weeks later. THere is nothing you can do but pelvic rest and best resrt if it is close to the placenta, well behind it. That is the only casue for concern. They have to bleed out or disolve and most of them go away by 6 months no matter what. I would not listen to the dr who said a blood vessel! I was told this with all 4 pregnancies before this last one! SH is not a blood vessel but a space of blood where the baby detached a little when it first attched to the uterine wall. So there is no blood vessel involved unless it is behind the placenta which can make it come loose but he would of told you the spot if that was the case.
Bed rest does not have to be explained but pelvic rest is no sex, squatting, lifting trying not to go up stairs, stuff like that. I worried like crazy and went to the ER every time I bleed to get an us to make sure abby was OK. It scares you but there is nothing they can do or you can do really. My little one is OK and now 4 months old.
Hi there all! Thanks for your comments. Bleeding has now stopped; touch wood and hoping the problem will sort itself out. I am being looked after by a consultant; next appointment on 22nd and sure they will be scanning me. :-) Im 17 weeks this week and doing my best to take it easy xxxxxxx
I have a large one they found at 9.5 weeks when had a big gush. Bled for Like 2 days and stopped. Then again sat had an enormous gush back to er. Dr did say it can bleed again and again but everytime it happens it scares u. My dr said to take it easy limit abdominal activity. Hopes it will go away on it's own soon. Fingers crossed. Good luck to you
i had a small hematoma in early pregnancy think I was about 7 weeks pregnant bled for a few days but that was all. Baby was fine. They can repair themselves as fair as I am aware. Its good that its now brown dscharge as thats old blood. R ur docs gonna keep an eye on baby via u/s?
Just have your doctor monior the bleeding. I had a subchorionic hematoma my first pregnancy and bled worse than a period for 5 weeks straight and then one day it just randomly stopped. They are actually pretty commonband ive only heard of them causing a miscarriage once and that was because the bleeding caused the sac to detach from the wall. Just have your doctor continue to monitor it and if you feel lije something is wrong do not hesitate to go to the hospital.
