Weird cut

I am not pregnant but couldn't find another category to put this in. I am 21 years old, and I haven't had sex but I take birth control pills (I had irregular periods and bad cramping). I just got done with the first set of pills 4 days ago, and today I noticed a burning feeling between my labia minora and labia majora. I looked in the mirror and there seems to be like a very superficial cut but there is no blood. It does burn... what can I do? and why did it happen?

Thank you for all your responses... BUT it does not itch or burn unless I am in the shower and I am washing it (with jsut water). Yesterday I checked again and it was gone... What could it be? There's noitching, discharge, dryness, blood...

I have had the same thing before.  It is nothing to worry about.  Here is what helps me.  try to keep as moisture as possible away from it.  Moisture will irratate it and it will not heal as fast.  Wash with Summer's eve (it won't burn you like some other cleansers, even the generic kind will burn).  Use a dab of the neosporin just on the cut.  Try not to scratch!  It will make it a lot worse.  Instead, place take a cool washcloth and hold to it.  It will help with the discomfort.  If you keep having these little cuts and they really begin to bother you, you should have your doc test you for a certain kind a strep infection that has these same symptoms.  I am not sure what the name of it is, but I have read about somewhere when I was looking for some help with my prob.

Did you by any chance shave down there recently? That happened to me once and I cut myself. But yes neosporin heals it very quickly.

I hope your talking to her. lol. I know my issue is from a skin problem. because it only happens when I don't use lotion. the problem if I don't use the right lotion and get sweaty is I smell funny. not like a yeast infection..(I've had em.. I also have a husband who feels no shame in mentioning if I need to "freshen up" lol)

But for me it's normal to have it happen every so often.. lol.. But do get checked for a yeast infection KOOSHY. It's a good Idea.

Actually, you probably have a yeast infection and it should be checked out by a doctor if you have never had one.  Sometimes, they start out with little "cuts" in that area, then turn to itchiness and discharge.  The Monistat used to come with the insertable medicine and an extra tube of cream to put on that area - - for just this reason.

You should get it checked out....

you know what.. it's because the skin in that area either got stretched or dry.

I have a skin condition where my skin is Very dry ALL OVER. even there. and it's happened to me many times. I just use a tiny bit of lotion so I don't start smelling funky.

it's normal.

Very weird b/c I've had that before as well.....just kind of looked like the skin split so to speak....and pretty painful if you squat or anything......I never went to the Dr.'s for it or anything but put Neosporin cream on it every time I went to the bathroom and it eventually healed up......Wow.....I had forgotten that I ever had that until reading your post....Anyway, I had it a few times all within one year and haven't had one since......I can't say why it happened....just one of those things maybe.
