clary sage oil and labor

Hi I've heard that clary sage oil can bring on labor, has anyone else heard this or even tried it? I got some today and I'm going to give it a go, apparently I just add a few drops into my bath water. Has this worked for anyone else? And is it safe?

It may kick off some contractions, it did for me, but never resulted in labour...just frustration!

Cleary sage is safe as long as you're 36 weeks or more, but it won't necessarily kick start labour. It's a powerful muscle relaxant, which once you're in labour can make it go faster and less painfully. It can be added to your bath, mixed with a carrier oil and used as a massage oil, or rubbed on labour inducing acupressure points. I use it mixed with a carrier oil for my migraines and it helps a lot. Sooo, add it to your bath, and whether you just get really relaxed, or go into labour, it's win win, right? I like the scent of it too. Good luck!
