Honestly u should tell ur doctor. Everything you say to him should be confidential. Sounds like your addicted and we both know how hard it is to stop something were addicted too. I'm 28 weeks and still smoking cigarettes :/ but ur doctor is there to help you

You should tell your ob to try and get help, I heard they do random drug tests through urine so you could be risking losing your baby. Not worth it.

U have to tell ur doc so he can take precautions to make sure ur baby is ok... he may have to do extra ultrasounds throughout ur pregnancy to make sure ur baby is developing properly.

what doesnt cause birth defects? all them pills ur taking?? ummmm......yes it can and deff can the more u take, thats y u need to tell ur OB doc. that u decide to see so they can make sure they take every good possible decision they can make with ur pregnancy.

plus if a doc test u for drugs randomly(cuz they do do that) and the OB doesnt know ur on them it can lead to child services being called and ur baby being taken away at birth. i dont think ANYONE wants that.

and deff need to try to get off or as low as u possibly can so ur baby has a less chance of problems.

everything u take during ur pregnancy(even the so called safe meds) can cause problems with ur baby it just depends on the woman and then just the chance that it could happen

yeah pharmacies says it doesnt cause birth defects. They are the ones making it. so im going by what she saud on that.Cause it can be prescibed during pregnancy. I know its not good either way.I know that. But baby being taling away crap is only being supious of mother.

hydrocodone is a class c medication..
Fetal Risk
teratogenic in some animals producing central nervous system anomalies.
Suggested association between exposure in 1st trimester and some congenital anomalies mainly cardiovascular defects, but the data are limited.
OBs have prescribed it during pregnancy as long as the benefit out weighs the risk. theres no research that its harmful BUT its stated that it should be taken at a bare minimum if at all.... I think your baby will be fine! BUT here is the problem. if you continue to take this throughout your pregnancy your child will be born addicted to the medication. therefore the hospital would have to wean the child off of the meds before leaving the hospital because the baby will go into severe withdrawrals.

Hunny i know its hard but you need to do EVERYTHING in your power to wean off this medication as soon as possible.
If you go into withdrawrals you can have a miscarriage or other complications.  Your best bet it to cut back as much as you can everyday until you can stop completely.

The best way to stop is by taking what you have and flushing it down the toilet so you cannot get to them as well as talk to a doctor about this. It has been known for babies to take on the drug dependencies that a mother has while she is carrying it, and the withdrawals can be deadly for them. If you want what's best for your child, you need to cut yourself off of the drug, and have support to get through it. Its tough, but necessary.

It may be safe if your taking your meds as prescribed which is usually no more than 8 or 10 a day and monitored by your doc.  You are taking double the amount or more which isn't good for anybody.  As a result, damage if any may be unknown until later.  I do suggest you see another doc in another town.  Pharmacists are well educated on meds but they are not the ones looking after you and your baby and do not know your history.  I wish you all the best!

go ahead then im telling u what i know out of experience just because they say it cant cause defects doesnt mean it wont every one reacts to meds differently and can cause ppl problems

and a pharmacies is not a OB doc. they study different things and do different things. i was given plenty "safe meds" from one n my OB says they arnt safe n coulda killed my baby if i woulda taken what the pharmacist gave me. but thats all ur desicion but taking that many isnt safe for u to even take a day so deff not good for ur unborn baby

and child services can take ur child away for abusing any kind of drug, it just depends on where u live and if ur OB does random drug test and turns it in
but thats y u should talk to ur OB about it soon

My mother was addicted to painn medication when she was pregnant with me..I was born at 26 weeks, had multiple heart problems, and my lasting problem is severe memory loss. It can have effects on the baby and it was very hard to be the only kid not able to go on a feild trip because any exciteent could kill me. I know your addicted, but you have to get help..the day I found out I was pregnant I dropped everything. Ciggeretes, pot, and drinking..and it was hard as hell but I couldn't bare the thought of my child laying in a hospital bed just. Because his lungs gave out on him. Having a child is about sacrafice and love..and its hard buut please tell someone..cause anyone right now can call cps and your babyh will be taken away from you if someeone found out. I know cause I was taken away several times and it *****...

I think you should find a doctor that you trust and confide it in them.. theyll help you wean off the medications. tell them you want to quit and you need help and a plan. they will sit down with you and write out a procedure to follow.. which will be slowly cutting down at a pace thats safe for you and your baby.

Until you find a doctor you trust try to come up with a plan yourself.. Say im only going to take this many today and stick to it write it down on a calander or shoot for a goal of being down to so many by a certain date... every few days take another one out try to hold out as long as you can before taking that next one. focus on your baby and when you think you need on think of that beautiful baby and how much it depends on you.

i have not said anything to u that was hostile in anyway what so ever n im sorry if u think i have n yes i have been there thats y i am telling u from experience that u need to tell ur OB doc so he/she can help u. n moniter ur baby more to make sure its ok and maybe even help u with ways to get off the drug safe cuz i dont think anyone should have their baby taken away if they arnt abusing them on purpose. i understand its hard but im not judging u just stating fact n helping with what i know is hard
