pregnant?!

I am trying to conceive. I was on the depo shot for one and a half years. My last shot expired about 9 months ago. I had a lot of spotting all the months after that. & I had my first real period starting on Jan 25th 2009. I'm pretty sure that I ovulated again the month after that (which would be this month) because I had the egg whitey kind of cervical mucous. So I had unprotected sex with my parter of two years then. Well, I've missed my period now. & I've taken two home pregnancy tests, both negative. It's been exactly 15 days since I had unprotected sex. I took the last test yesterday (-). I have had some pregnancy symptoms. First it started off with just sore breasts, then it went to my nipples being really sore,& I've been feeling nauseaous once in awhile. why are my tests coming back negative?

i myself was on depo for 2 and a half years had all teh symptoms you are experiencing and more.  I have been trying to conceive for 15 months with nothing happening. i got my period back in nov 07 was fine until July 08 then went haywire until Jan09 where i now have a period every 27days cramps and preggo symptoms.  I really hope you are pregnant as i am going for tests on monday to see if i have more of a problem than meets the eye.  But my advice is wait until you have missed your period by at least a week and take an hpt if it comes back negative i would advise you to see a doctor to try and regulate your periods.  Good Luck!!!

i think the earliest you can expect a positive result is 17 days after unprotected sex. I'd retest then and at regular intervals thereafter, but bear in mind that your body might not quite be over the depot yet.
