Hi,

Unfortunatly (if you are trying to conceive) this can just be false pregnancy signs. I have literally only just been through this myself within the past week. I had all sorts of pregnancy signs and was a whole week late on my period, although i have NEVER been so much as a day late before. But being us women these things do happen! I also tried numerous pregnancy tests.. i think its just a way of our body teasing us : ( if i were you i would wait untill you are a week late on your period, if still nothing do another test and if that is negative get in touch with your doctors!

It may be that your levels are not high enough yet to show up the pregnancy, you may have your period due dates wrong or it could just be a time that you are late on your period!

Hope it goes the way you want things to!

Thanks

You could ask to have a blood pregnancy test done, but it sounds as though it is probably not pregnancy. I have not had a period since May 1st (before that I was always regular), had negative HPTs and at the end of June finally went in for the blood test and it was negative. My period never showed, but I obviously ovulated in July, since I am now pregnant. The signs I thought were pregnancy signs were really nothing like the actual pregnancy symptoms I've had. My breasts felt like they were absolutely on fire for days, it was way more intense than the normal tenderness I would get right before my period. It was actually one of the things that prompted me to take the HPT. Good luck!

Possibly, but I do have a few coworkers who got all negative HPTs and then positive blood tests.

Any number of factors can contribute to a missed period, medications, stress, illness, hormonal imblance or nothing at all.  Occasionally some women have what's known as an anovulatory cycle where they do not ovulate or have a period.  Other times you can ovulate but still have no period.  Have you gone off of any type of birth control in the last 6 months?  If *I* were in your position I would wait until my NEXT period was expected and if THAT one does not show, make an appt with a GYN.  Last summer I went 64 days with no period, had the cramping, bloating, sore boobs, nausea, and a host of other "symptoms" but after almost 20 urine tests and a blood test that were all negative I finally started.  I had stopped birth control pills the previous april (missed from july -end of august) so I attribute the missed period to a hormonal imbalance as my body was still trying to readjust from not having the synthetic hormones.

Go to the doctor and get your  blood HCG levels analysed. That way aou will know if you're definately pregnant or not.

Also perhaps try another type of pregnant test, perhaps the test is not sensitive enough.

Good luck!
