brown spotting

I am 5 wks 5 days and have been having some brown spotting for the last two days. I have not seen any blood and have not been cramping (other than constipation and some gas pains) I called my Dr and she said not to worry unless I see blood or start having bad cramps. Is this normal..I'm worried.

Brown blood is old blood, is it only when you wipe? I know it scary but some women like myself will spot, and red blood is new so if it brown maybe it was from sex. But if it still continues I would call again , I had a mc earlier this month more of a chemical preg, no pains really at all. Best of luck

I've have brown spotting and blood spotting during first trimester with both this pregnancy and my last. Usually around the time I would normal have a period if I wasn't pregnant. I'm currently 34 weeks. And had spotting at about 26 weks too. Like doc said as long as yournot cramping and thetes no bright red fresh blood you should be fine. Congrats on the pregnancy. :)
