Should I be mad??

I'm 37 weeks today. Last night (Sunday) I went to the hospital for high blood pressure. While at the hospital I learned that through my whole pregnancy I had high blood pressure. I never heard this from my OB or the OBs nurse.

So today I had my normal check up and when they checked my blood pressure the nurse said it was a little high (140/90). I told her I was confused why I wasn't made aware that I had high blood pressure from the beginning. She just quickly left. OB came in and I asked the same thing. He said it's just boarder line high. I've never had high blood pressure in my life.

Do you think I have a right to be mad??

Thanks for your comments. My OB said every time I came in it was either 140 or above. I'm just so lost and confused.

BP can change, one day mine was 140/90 which is not bad just slighty high same as yours next week it went down to 130/70. There is no way to know if it's been high your entire pregnancy unless you're looking at the recorded numbers from each visit. I wouldn't be too upset just deal with the here and now and everything will be okay :)

I'd be upset too! Especially if your bp isn't regularly high. They should have told you imo.

That is the exact borderline for hbp so maybe they didn't feel it was serious. I don't know. My midwife feels me my blood pressure every time I have an appt.

They should have told you so you could have been aware of it and thank goodness it hasn't caused any issues with the baby
