If I were the Doc, I would order a growth scan 4 weeks from your last scan and that will determine if there has been appropriate interval growth. You have an indication for another scan....fetus small for dates. Pay special attention to the fetal abdominal circumference (AC). The AC normally increases 1cm per week and the rule of thumb is that an "average" AC is 4 less than the gestational age. For example, an average weight fetus at 28 weeks wiill have an AC of about 24cm......32 weeks will will have an AC of about 28cm. See the pattern. Remember, some fetuses are just genetically destined to be "small".   Some will be small, some average, and some large. Your doc needs to determine if it is pathologically small as might occur from placental insufficiency. Hope that helps. Feel free to reply if needed. Best wishes.

Anything under 10th percentile is considered too small. Your baby is on the smaller side but is still on track. My baby was 18th percentile too (24 weeks) and 2 months later at 32 weeks he was 31st percentile already! There is nothing to worry as long as he keeps growing. Good luck to you and your baby!

Heading out the door, but real quick question. How was your due date established? Is it accurate?  A poorly dated pregnancy can cause this "situation".
