1st Baby 31 years old

So i did the math and when i am 50 my baby will be 18. i find myself having regret because i will not be able to enjoy the things with my child as i did with my mom. i guess there are pro and cons of becoming a mother later in life. But im happy just to be having a baby!

I understand. I'll be 30 and a ftm. My parents married at 18 and 20, and started their family right away. They were 26 and 24 when all three of their kids were born. I wanted the same, but it didn't happen that way. We'll be blessed in other ways.

My mom had me when she was 32 and has always been able to keep up. She's 64 now and still active and healthy and about to be a grandma for the first time. I will be 32 as well when i give birth in May and i have no regrets... My life was different when i was younger, now it's my time to be a mom.

I will be 33 years when my twins are born and if I'm anything like my parents (dad 81 years, mum 68 years) I will be happy. My parents are still going, still quite fit and don't even look their ages. I work with kids so feel younger then what I am so I'm not going to let my age worry me x

I will be 33 when baby comes, older but nobody is going to take away my youthfulness!  I know plenty of people over 50 that are more active than teenagers.  Don't worry, as long as you keep healthy and active you should never have a problem keeping up.

That's not true...my mother is 53, and she does more fun things with my kids than any one else in their lives, they go to amusement parks, ride roller coasters, water parks, go kart riding, playground, skating, etc. She's always down for a good time...I find it hard to plan just family trips with my husband and the kids, cus she always wants to go! Lol. Age is just a number and there is no reason for you to think you can't be a fun mom. I'll be 50 when this child (3rd) turns 18, and thinks that's perfect!

I'm 55 and I hiked up a small mountain tonight.

I don't know what you expect to do with your child,  but 31 is not really very old to have a baby - there will be lots of moms in your child's kindergarten class your age (granted they might be on their last child out of several).  You're not considered by OB's to be of "advanced maternal age" until you're 35 and pregnant.

Unless women in your family age really really quickly,  you should be able to anything any other mother does with their kids.
