Thanks everyone! Yeah, you sure don't get to pick...but it may be better that way. It'd be scary to think how it would be if we all got what we wanted! Lol
I'm just hoping I don't have to learn a whole new schedule. I've always learned the glucose test is 24-28 weeks. I'm almost done with my training for child birth education certification. I'm hoping that it's not wildly different from area to area. I really just (and I mean just) got the schedule that I have down. I'm scared if we do move I will have to start all over. :/ So was wondering if it was a state by state thing.
My gulcose test is friday. I will be 28+2 weeks. My doctor told me they always do the gulcose test at 28 weeks.
Yeah mine is next week and ill be 24 +6. We scheduled it on the way out of my ultrasound. In fact my spread here was 5 weeks between appts for just that reason. Maybe it depends on the docs too.
Where are you? I'm wondering if it is different in different areas. Mine have all been at 24 weeks. And we're possibly moving across the country so wondering if I will need to learn a whole new schedule. Thanks :)
congrats welcome to team blue. I wanted a girl too but am 35+3 with a boy. he's healthy and thats all i care about, it's not like u get to pick
gestational diabetes test is between 28-30 weeks.
Huh? They usually do the gestational diabetes test at 24 weeks. Maybe call and ask if you are supposed to have one?
No they didn't mention glucose test at all. It just seems that they would want to keep an eye on my counts since they are low already. Idk.
It's not unusual for them to not draw. They're sometimes nice and space it out a bit. Besides, you should have scheduled your glucose test today. They'll draw then anyway so they may be trying to keep the number of pokes down.
I'm not too terribly worried about placents now b/c it's position may change as I get closer to delivery. But I just realized they didn't take blood this time. Every other visit they have. I would think they would want to check again to see what my count is. I had my last blood test at about 12 weeks so I'm sure it's changed some.
Congrats on the healthy baby! I have placenta previa. Where the placenta is on the cervix. Scary but manageable. :)
