I have suffered from severe nasal congestion since first few weeks of pregnancy(23 weeks now). My dr has given me the okay to use benadryl, xyzal ( which is an allergy medication), robitussin Dm, and anything tylenol is perfectly fine. I have used afrin as well. This is my fifth pregnancy and i habe had a cold with every one. Ive taken at least one of these at some point. I can tell you my children have all come out healthy. These medications are class b which is completely safe. I was told class c isnt even considered unsafe. It just means there has been less study done on those certain meds. and how they will effect your baby during pregnancy. I know there are a lot of first time moms who are overly cautious about everything from something as silly as smelling a fart lol but in all seriousness you have to take care of yourself too. There is absolutely no need to make yourself suffer when there are safe alternatives. If you dont feel comfortable call your Dr and ask you. I assure you they will tell you the same. Ps. Ive had a nasty cold past few days. Robitussin Dm has been a life saver!

ND I'm supper scared something bad might happen even thought I knw it won't but still I didn't take no medicine I just rub alot of vicks on my nose nd chest nd rub alcohol on my body every night nd it went away on the 3 day ..good luck hope u feel better
