37 week appointment

Ok ladies I have my 37 week appt on friday.. & she told me last time that they'll do the strep test, can someone please explain to me what kind of test it is?.. is it the same as the Group B strep test or something different, she just said "strep"

Also, do you think they'll check the position my baby is in? I get so afraid she might switch positions, she was head down last appt at 34 weeks, what's the likelihood she'll be breech? Had anyone had their baby turn so late in their pregnancy. Please ease my worries, thanks in advance.

Yes you can still have iv abx with water birth. Don't worry too much about everything else. You don't even know if you have gbs. So don't stress about it:)

Group B strep is a test that all pregnant women get tested for if you are positive they will give you antibiotics through iv upon delivery. Btw 90% of pregnant women has it no worry
