Membrane sweep at 39 weeks
Just had a membrane sweep today at 39 weeks. I'm only dilated to 2.5 cm and am still loosing my mucus plug. This is my second pregnancy but first time getting the sweep done. My question is how successful has it been for some mommies? I know it doesn't do anything for some but other have had success, I'm just curious. I've had pain contractions since 32 weeks and they have been close together but again not dilated enough.

I had membrane sweep in my first pregnancy and it did nothing. Next day I was induced with gel they put on the cervix and the first attempt at that was successful for me :) Best of luck to you
I have mixed feelings about the membrane sweeps. Yes it helps, most of the time. In my first pregnancy I had my membrane swept 3 times before I started dilating beyond 3cm...
