what to pack for the hospital?

I'm 30 weeks pregnant and need to pack my bag for delivery. Any suggestions of items to bring? I didn't do this with my last baby 11 years ago and think this time I should. I feel so unprepared.

Oh yes and nursing bras (if nursing)


Definitely a carseat!
Outfit for baby pictures(bring a couple options) I learned with my 3rd child). I had her outfit all planned out. Dressed her, put her matching blanket underneath her and then BOOM she has a diaper explosion!

I have had 4 so far and due with my 5th in about 9 weeks. I would definitely say bring

Deodorant
Shampoo
Hairbrush
Rubberbands( just to pull hair back)
Toothbrush and toothpaste
Socks
Nursing tanks( if you plan on nursing)
A few comfy pairs of pajamas(I had nursing gowns)
Slippers
A good book(or two)
Phone charger
Chapstick
Lots of granny panties!!!( you will prob.  have to change underwear A LOT! The hospital will provide those hideous knitted underwear but they suck! I sent my hubby home after our last baby bc I needed more underwear, and he brought me a pair of my skinny underwear, actually they were more like boyshort type which had "smack that" written on the butt of them. My mom and I laughed so hard when he handed them to me hahaha!!!!

For the most part the hospital will provide you with :

Pads
Diapers
Wipes
Hand sanitizer
Onesies
Baby gowns
And actually you can request a fan if you didn't know! They won't come out and tell you but if you ask for one they will bring you a clip on fan for your bed. Brand new out of the box most insurance companies cover and yours to take home. At least at the hospital I deliver my babies!

U really don't need a lot lol I over packed and didn't use half the **** I packs and I had a c section and was in the hospital for a week and only used little of what I packed.
Tooth brush hair brush shampoo conditioner razor
Blanket
Pjs
Toothpaste
hair tie
Pretty much all I used and I was fine

Ive seen a lot of list on here and in my opinion people seem to be way over packing. Check with your hospital to be sure but most hospitals provide everything for baby while they are there ex: diapers wipes.. Ect. All you really need is a going home outfit for baby. Blankets. Camera. personal hygeine products for you when you shower.. Maybe some makeup.I wont be bringing any of my own pjs and will wear hospital gown the until i leave. I dont want to ruin my pjs!!

I'm 32 weeks and just started making a list lol.  I made a list for me and what i need, comfy pjs,  slippers,  nursing bras and pads maternity pads,  extra pillows and a comforter,  shampoo,  soap,  toothbrush,  brush,  camera,  phone,  charger,  books,  snacks. (just some stuff i needed with my first two lol)  also made list for baby,  carseat,oonesies,  outfit to come home in, diapers wipes,  blankets...  That's what i got so far.  I'm sure I'll think of more lol
