What happens at the first prenatal visit

Paper work, pregnancy test, std tests, and usually an ultrasound.

At mine I had a pap smear, urine test, blood work, and an ultrasound:) and they asked all the normal family history questions.

For mine they did a pelvic exam, and vaginal US. Also went over the paperwork on my family history and health. Also, blood work.

Its different depending on what country your in... not all countries do a pelvic exam... but United States does to check for any STD's or abnormalities...

My first appt I had blood pressure and questions. Then the Dr came in and explained what I need to do and how often I come in. It was all informational

Mine was just paperwork. Tons of paperwork and questions about family history. Then blood work and gave me prenatal vitamins

They do a pregnancy test, usually a pap smear, get prior medical history, and run some blood work... they ask you if you have any questions and give you a bag with stuff in it and set you up for your next appt.
