To have a baby shower or Not to have one??

Ive been debating whether to have a baby shower. My husband and I thought of having a co-ed baby shower; however I dont like his friends or family members.  They are very fake and have been rude to me abd my family. I really dont know what to do, if you were in my situation, what would you do? I really don't have many friends and my husband is the opposite; so therefore most of the people at the baby shower will be from his side.

I think i might be able to be nice but I just dont think i would be able to tolerate having them touch my belly. I would prefer just my side lol but i dont think my husband would agree to that. How can i pretend to be ok with his family they get me so upset, uggh!!

Honestly I wish I wasn't having one.. My situation is a little different as I just hate the fuss and sick of my pregnancy being the only thing anyone wants to talk to me about! If you do want to have something, perhaps invite his side in the morning for a little morning tea and then your side on the afternoon for a little afternoon tea. Keep it casual and instead of games etc you could have a wishing tree where everyone writes their wish for your baby and your little family future? Just an idea... Hope it works out for you :-)

I tend to not be overly nice when pregnant, so I guess my question is can you pretend to be nice long enough or not? Otherwise, do one for your side and one for his. If anyone asks, there were too many people for one event.
