So sorry! We lost a baby in May and it was helpful to give a name. We chose a girl's name. God bless your family.
Update from hcg test today: its all over for me. My hcg went down from 1887 to 637 in last 48hrs. I am completely devastated. It was a very tough 5 weeks. I can't stop crying. But thanks for all support.
With my first two babies (not twins, two pregnancies :) ) I went in to get an ultrasound at what I thought would be about 5-6 weeks and they couldn't see anything at all. Apparently my ovulation was off schedule. Two weeks later we could see them perfectly fine. I really hope it's the same for you. Oh and I also always had light spotting after the ultrasounds.
The spotting could be just caused from have the ultrasound vaginally and that's a good sign that it's stopped. Sometimes you can have mild cramping just make sure you are drinking plenty of water to stay well hydrated bc if you aren't then it can make you cramp a little.
Yes this is my first pregnancy. The spotting has stopped now. I don't know what's happening. I will be visiting doc tomorrow for another hcg test so will discuss about spotting as well.
You should speak with your doctor. They will have the advice that you need. 5 weeks is still very early to tell what is going on. Is this your first pregnancy?
Hi - This is Mili here. I saw my husband's post so :) sorry about confusion. Please make recommendations.
I thought you were a husband; how are you going through any changes in your body
So they did check ovaries and tubes and abdomen - no sign of sac. Ovaries were normal and found one cyst on right side ovary. Still at the end nurse said in her experience such cases eventually results in ectopic pregnancy - so I am freaked out.
Another development since yesterday u/s and hcg test - I am having mild cramp in lower abdomen and lower back pain. This morning I saw vaginal red blood spots. This is all happening after nurse shared her experience. So I am very freaked out now. Am I going to miscarry? Is the light bleeding normal at 5 weeks 5 days...?
The only thing you would be able to see at 5/weeks would the the sac the baby is in the baby at this time is only the size of a pen tip. It is a good sign the HCG is going up instead of down. And they always should check your overies and tubes when you have an ultrasound so I don't know why they didn't check for an ectopic pregnancy at the ultrasound. Hope all goes well and stay positive.
Can others also share your experience?
Thanks for your comments. Really appreciate it.
That's likely too early to see anything.
I'm not sure why the nurse is giving her opinions...that's not exactly legal. Anyways, her hcg is rising well, but that's scary low progesterone. I'd wait for another scan before even guessing ectopic...it's still really early!
