Bad dogs during pregnancy

My dogs have been bad lately.  It just barely started as I neared my third trimester.  They all keep finding ways out of our yard to go mess with cows and chase rabbits or foxes or skunks.  They've never done this before (well one did when she was younger... but not the others).  They've also been ornery lately with following directions.  Usually I only have to say "Come" once... Not lately.  They just stare at me like I'm an idiot.  But my husband can give them a command and they listen right away.  During my first trimester my dogs followed me everywhere.  Anytime I was throwing up at least one would sit at the bathroom door and watch me.  If I was crying they'd come comfort me.  Just recently though the whole dynamic changed.  Can my being pregnant upset the pecking order in my house?

Did your animals act weird with pregnancy hormones? Or is it just mine?

Its probably because the hormones make you smell different. You just aren't the same to them so they don't act the same to you.

My female who only weighs 5 pounds is protective of me, and has been since before I knew I was pregnant. She also sleeps on my side over the baby. But she bounces all over my poor belly sometimes..

My dog has been fine this pregnancy. However, during my last pregnancy he never listened to me. He even tried to pee on me!

Its not just you! Mine have been very naughty. They ate a quart of oil last week and got diarrhea so now they're locked in a kennel cause I'm too big to be bathing them.  They haven't been listening and have been whining excessively at night to go outside when its freezing and they're big enough to hold it til the morning. Its very frustrating.

I'm not pregnant yet, but I hope to be soon. However I know with my dogs they start to really act out when its been too long between walks.

My dog actually became more attached to me like it was his job to take care of me.  When my first was born he never left her side.  Ever picture of her you see him right there lol! But then I adopted him at 5 from a family on a farm that had a problem with him starting to chase their horses and one was pregnant so they started to worry and put him up for adoption.  So maybe he either learned his lesson, or this is just a stage dogs sometimes go through when they have the temptation? And they might sense that you may not be able to keep up to them like your husband at this point lol.
