Birth story!

So I went I  for the induction Monday 4am 7/21/24. They started me on  cytotec which  is a vaginal suppository used to soften cervix (I was already 1cm dated @39+3).  To my surprise after only 25mg I started getting back  pain so I turned to my side and pop my bag broke at 0726.after that I started having contractions on my back very badly like no rest in between.  I right away called for epidural. The tech that's preps my back was all Sling to nurse how far dilated I am I felt bad  she looked at me like I'm OK your only1.5cm and crying but the nurse was quick to tell her no way she is having contractions back to back.  Epidural was amazing!!!!!!!!!!!! Kept dilating quickly ever hour by 1cm so I was at 10cm by 1pm. My  Baby boy was born 8.9lbs 20 1/2in. So everything was perfect until after I deliverer I started  getting Terrible pain down there. Turn out since baby was so huge he busted a vein or artery not sure inside vagina so I got a hematoma. It's getting better but I'm still in alot of pain.
So I only needed 1 cytotec to get labor going they didn't even give Pitocin!

My dr said to let the hematoma cure by itself(which really really *****)   it can take weeks so it's much worst pain than an episiotomy which I also have its just that the preassure from hematoma is so bad I don't feel that. I'm so lucky vaginal hematoma happen 1 in 1000births

Congrats! I understand your pain. I tore really bad since they used a vacuum bc cord was wrapped around his neck. I didnt kno until after he was out. I didn't kno how bad it was till the epidural wore off snd its still healing. But hes 11 days old and im loving being a mom...its so much better once you get home! Congrats and goodluck healing
