I was positive for my first had to go in 4 hrs before delivery to gets iv. My second was negative. My third now is positive again. They want me to come in at 10 minutes apart so that I can get the iv but since it is my third they said he might go faster. I asked what if I don't have time to get an iv. She said there is just a chance it can pass to baby so do not worry. I'm trying not to worry. I been trying to time my contractions but there speratic. With my second I didn't have pain till 2 hrs before I delivered.

Nothing to be nervous about even if its positive. Its just a stand of bacteria that can be present in the vagina. Its found in about 30% or so of women and if passed to the baby during delivery there's a very small chance it can cause respiratory issues. I treated negative but while getting the test I asked my midwife what would happen if it came back positive. She said all they would do is give me an iv with penicillin during delivery to protect the baby. It can't hurt you just by being present and its very easy to protect the baby from it. Don't worry :)
